The unique structure of a credit union limits eligibility to a field of membership defined by a common bond.
Specifically, you are eligible to join if:
- You work for Travis County.
- You live or work within Travis County lines.
- You are employed by or affiliated with an organization that sponsors TCCU as its credit union.
- You are a retiree of an organization that sponsors TCCU as its credit union.
- You are an immediate family member or household member of and existing TCCU member.

To become a member complete our online Membership Application or print out and complete the New Member Packet and bring it with you to one of our new account locations. I accordance with Section 326 of the USA Patriot Act, applicants for new accounts are requested to provide current picture identification that verifies identiry including name, address and other identifying information. To accomplish this, we will ask you to bring your valid driver's license or government issued photo ID. If the home address present on your ID is not your current address, we will need to see a current utility bill, cell phone bill, or voter registration card in order to validate your home address. In addition, if available, we will ask you for your social security card, your passport or your birth certificate to assist us in maintaining our compliance with the USA Patriot Act. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding of this.
